What is Offshore Outsourcing?
Offshoring is the process of conducting complete or partial business activities as part of a process in another country.
Outsourcing is the process of obtaining goods or services from a third party through a process of subcontracting.
Scienexus provides businesses offshore outsourced solutions for Web Development, Management and Marketing products and services.
Types of Offshore Outsourcing
Lift and Shift – An activity within an end-to-end process is taken from an existing location and moved to a new location. Some or all roles in the onshore environment will be moved to the offshore location and can be filled through local recruitment or overseas assignment for key employees.
Business Growth – As a business grows there may need to be an increase in the number of employees to handle the increase in activity. Options in this situation are to employ local or subcontract the increased requirement offshore.
If an existing process activity is already being conducted offshore then there needs to be a review in order to meet the increased requirement.
Capability Build – As a business grows it may require additional skills to deliver additional services or products. In this situation a business can grow the capability locally or look to grow the capability in an offshore location whilst linking it to the onshore delivery.
Variations – There are numerous business models for the use of offshore services and the list above is not exhaustive.
